“Without their support, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve anything,” Darshan says emotionally. Fortunately for him, his family always supported him. This is something really different that I am doing.“I’’m living my dream,” asserts Darshan Kumar, who always wanted to be an actor when he was a kid growing up in Delhi. I have never been so excited about my work. All I can say is that I am very excited about this track. Trust me, when I got on the set for the first day, everyone including Aakriti, Myra and Mohit were amazing and welcomed me,” she states.Īsk her on the bonding that will be shown between Nandini and Bhola and she says, “There will be a gradual bonding on screen. This character is very simple and down-to-earth.” Generally, Anaya was very glamorous and up market. And when I heard about my character, I found it all the more interesting. The story and content in the show is good. As a viewer, I am very fond of the show as the whole chemistry between the father and daughter is amazing. Interestingly, I watch Kulfi Kumar Bajewala. Having said this, the production house is lovely to work with. It was scary and I thought over it initially.
The role was of a mother, and I have never been a mother onscreen. And then when this opportunity came to me, I accepted it. She was a very complicated character with a lot of shades in her.
Anaya in Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji was also very challenging. I am very choosy to be honest when it comes to my work. More than the quantity, I like quality of the work. On why she picked this role, Iris explains, “I am a very character-oriented person. The story ahead will be interesting as it will reveal how she will get included in Sikandar’s life.” She has her mother and daughter with her. She is the only earning member in her family.
Says Iris, “The character is very loving and caring. Iris will play the role of the intern doctor who will be part of Sikandar aka Bhola’s new lifestyle. Mohit Malik’s double role in the show has introduced Sikandar in a new character Bhola who lives in a new setup. Iris who is also presently seen in the role of Anaya in Gul Khan and Nilanjana Purkayasstha’s show on Star Plus, Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji, will enter the show post the dramatic accident of Sikandar (Mohit Malik). Kulfi Kumar Bajewala the popular Star Plus show will see the entry of actor Iris Maity in the role of Nandini.
